Lessons From Our Greats: Only "LOVE" Can Conquer ALL in Such Alton-Sterling-Like Moments..

Our Greats have taught us that only "LOVE" can conquer ALL in such Alton-Sterling-like moments...

HOW? You might ask...

YES in moments like this it might be rather tempting "to burn everything and sink the whole ship"... and let us assume we did so, what then will we be left with?

More hate, anger and distaste for each other on both sides.

Our greatest LOVE LEADER in recent history, the late Nelson Mandela said the following:

> "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more to the human heart than its opposite."

We must not let the stupidity of some serve as viruses to taint us all. Loving an enemy appears to be deceptively weak, yet it is the strongest thing that any human being can accomplish.

Only LOVE can counter HATE, because countering hate with hate will only create more hatred and anger and destruction of oneself and others.

The great ones of us have so proved... Yes, sometimes we must protest, make some noise, express our distaste, disappointment and even anger by peacefully protesting and venting. However, the latter should be done as a means to an end. We must, in the end, display love to both those that love and hate us. We can and should get up and stand up for our rights, and protest peacefully, but do so without inciting more riots or disorder or creating more evils or make another tough situation more dire. We can effectuate more social and legal change and thus progress, but if and only if we choose to LOVE.

Dr. King

> "I have decided to stick with LOVE. Hate is too great a burden to bear"

> "Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend". And the reason is because GOD is LOVE!

Nelson Mandela

> "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."

Malcom X

> "How can anyone be against love?"

> "You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom his freedom"

> "Who taught you to hate the color of your skin? Who taught you to hate the texture of your hair? You should ask yourself who taught you to hate being what God made you."

> Spike Lee on Malcolm X: "If we became students of Malcom X, we would not have young Black men out there killing each other like they're killing each other now. Young Black men would not be impregnating young Black women at the rate going on now. We would not have the drugs we have now, or the alcoholism"

Rosa Parks

> "Each person must live his/her life as a model for others"

So, when a guy like Charles Barkley says, "I'm not your role model, and I'm not paid to be your role model", I hear an ignorant man who is unaware of his history and place in time and history. We all have a duty to use our platform to educate, abolish ignorance and foster love over hate.

> "I am leaving this legacy to ALL of you... to bring peace, justice, equality, love and a fulfillment of

what our lives should be. Without vision the people will perish, and without courage and inspiration, dreams will die - the dream of freedom and peace."

We must all learn to live in peace, or we'll all die like savages.

Two years or so ago, after the last occurrence of senseless killings of Black young men, I was left in a reactive and angry state that i didn't like. Subsequently, I was determined to be PROACTIVE by creating alliances, writing articles, and catalyzing racial harmony by listening to others and learning from their biases, stereotypes, hatred and fear... Part of being wise and thus not insane is to learn from one's mistakes... I have decided to continue to love EVERY HUMAN BEING via my writings, and LOVE MANKIND no matter what, because in doing so, I end up loving myself even more!

To say that the he latest incidents have saddened my heart would be an understatement. But through it all I/we must realize how ugly the fruits of evil can get, and thus must remember that love is stronger than hate/anger.

it might sound weak to love our enemies after they have hurt us, and strong to retaliate in anger and attempt to hurt them harder. But no matter how counter-intuitive it seems, LOVE is always stronger than HATE in the end. Thus, we must associate only with those that promote the former because without LOVE there will never be PEACE, and without peace, life is nearly worthless.

With the understanding that LOVE conquers ALL, my associates and I are working on creating a novel organization centered around love, in order to help solve issues of this sort in a proactive rather than reactive manner. Please stay tuned and inquire within.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5: 9
