At 11 (hence why 11 is such a significant number to me), I visited America for the first time w/ my Father as a gift for getting excellent grades and fell in love w/ it. Subsequently, I concocted a plan to move here alone a few years ago against my Father's dream. I would not CHANGE A DARN THING b/c I LOVE THE PERSON THAT I AM TODAY SO MUCH. Like MOST AMAZING LOVE AFFAIRS, b/c I hate INJUSTICE, my love affair with America has always been a complex one. There were periods in which I might have doubted what America stood for. But undoubtedly, for me and so many, I concluded it must be OPPORTUNITIES -- to pursue one's DREAMS through PERCEIVED FREEDOM - whatever the heck they may be.
In the end, I decided to make America my main home. I became an American Citizen and TODAY ain't no prouder American than I am. I can ever become POTUS, but trust me, I intend to leave MY MARK on this great land that I genuinely call HOME. I've met amazing human beings here, and let's just say I CHOOSE TO REMEMBER SUCH PEOPLE over the few lost ones. If you decide to APPRECIATE AMERICA like I do today, as a US CITIZEN or NOT, please allow me to wish you a HAPPY 4th of JULY from the BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
